Puerto Vallarta is a great place...not all Americans like there are in Cancun. This is the resort area for rich Mexicans from DF...therefore there are fabulous eateries, discos, and attractions. There is a real market near "Gringo Gulch" where anything can be found. Streets are paved with river stone. Most are narrow and haven't been modernized. Natives are friendly, downtown prices are low. There are even real bull fights, para-sailing, mini cruises, romantic restaurants along the river at night, and jungle tours. Don't miss the public beach in Mismaloya. Go hungry on the public bus.
One warning.... "time share vendors." They offer great promotions for your time at a high pressure sales mtg. Some of the offers are good IF you can waste time listening to their chatter. If you aren't interested...walk away. |

yes you should try PV is great tropical paradise I went there for my honeymoon, if you want all inclusive try la joya de mismaloya has great beach, is like 15kms from the airport, grab a local taxi not a taxi that provides the airport they are more expensive, and buy a tour to the jungle where they film the movie "predator" with Arnold Swagenager. and to Quimixto, and yield they can only get there but boat. or another all inclusive try Sheraton bugambilias, you can search these hotels and more in google, or visit: vallarta.com is the city home page. |

Go to Puerto Vallarta its really pretty!My partents are from the same state and they have told me that the hotels are really nice and with good service also the ocean is clean.Its a perfect tropical place to go for Thanksgiving. |

Puerto Vallarta happens to be really nice during thanksgiving. Don't do all the tourist traps such as "Vallarta Adventures"
Do it your own way and visit the Malecón.
45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta is Punta de Mita. This is the best place if you want to have a "chill" vacation. The good thing about Punta de Mita is that there is the second most profitable Four Seasons in the World. |

Why not try Malaysia. There's so many beautiful places ranging from tropical forests, beaches and shopping. Can gurantee you value for money. Check out www.tourism.gov.my for a start. Then take it from there. You'll never regret it. |

Do you dive or snorkel? Outside of Australia, the reef in Cozumel is outstanding. If you don't do either one, make it a learning vacation and get lessons...you'll have the skills for life! |

It appears that everyone is going to Puerto Vallarta, lovely place, lots of tourists. You might think of Baja California the Rosarito area, not tropical, a desert coastal plain, but lots of nice restuarants, hotels and spas catering to tourists. Close to the US border. Wonderful weather this time of year, 80F yesterday, good winter surfing. |

Go to Hawaii!! It has great cuisine, great beaches, great tourist things to do, and is a great place to honeymoon, go on business, or take a family. We are going as a family of 7 ages ranging from 49 to 12. I know we are going to have a great time! |
