If I go to Mexico will they have signs in English at Home Depot stores like in the US?

I was just wondering if the Mexican people were as kind as we are in using both Spanish and English signs in their stores.

No, because there is not t large English speaking population...at least not in the part of Mexico where i live. maybe in San Miguel de Allende or Lake Chapalla.or other areas where there are many gringos. however , there is usually someone on staff at Home Depot, Sams, etc. that speaks English.

No pretty much everything is in spanish at us retail chains. Even imported american products have a sticker listing the ingrediants in spanish. It's pretty funny.

At the supermarket a 4 pack of starbucks frappachino will set you back about 16$.

Get real. Will there be white people standing in the Mexican Home Depot parking lot looking for work? We must appease the poor, downtrodden Hispanics!!!!!!

There's a Home Depot across the border in Tijuana, to be honest there are no English signs for your convenience, but most of the people in the city are bilingual so you should be able to get all the help you need at that place or anywhere else.

PS. I.daryle has SO much to learn about society

Not that I have seen. However there are kind Mexican people around who will help you out.

No. If you are lucky, somebody might speak English, but that's it.

Do you really think that kindness is behind the bilingual signs at your local home depot? It's about money, the Home Depot in your area has bilingual signs so that they can more easily sell to Hispanics.

Michel L
No, you probably won't find any English signs in supermarkets or normal stores - only in the touristic places of towns and souvenirs stores. Sorry man!

We are 'kind enough' to learn english fairly well when we travel to the US, or so you won't have problems when you visit us , you can be 'kind enough' to learn at least basic spanish if you're coming.
