There is a statute in Mexico that restricts the use of the Mexican national anthem to certain limited events. It is hard to believe but singing it in English is not allowed.
Actually, the Mexican national anthem contains so many anachronisms and poetic expressions that I would be amazed if somebody is actually able to provide you with a decent English translation.
