If i am WHITE and going to MEXICO for vacation what exactly do i need to cross the border? and come back lol.?

Your race , ethnicity , and ancestry has nothing to do with what you need to cross the border. Your nationality does. If you are an American citizen, you must have a photo I.D. and a proof of citizenship...EITHER a passport OR a birth certificate to travel to and from Mexico by LAND. You must have a passport to travel to and from Mexico by AIR. If you are under 18 and not travelling with your parents, then the responsible adult must carry a letter from your parents giving them permission to take you out of the US. and in to Mexico. It must be signed by both parents and notarized. See site below and read the section on MINORS under "Entry Requirements.

you do not need a passport if you drive or walk across the border. all you need is a valid id and your birth certificate.. i just came back from rosarito 2 days and had no problems.. passport wont be required for ground travel until 2009

A passport you need; you also need a Mexican Tourist Card which you return when you leave Mexico.

I can tell you have never traveled far from home girl, what does race, color, background have to do with traveling???
All of those are a big issue in the States, here, not so much, of course, we are a more uniform race than you, but really, most Mexicans like people of all colors as long as they are respectful.

Skin color not an issue. Passport not needed now for ground travel, but get that passport anyway. My friend just had his birth certificate questioned at the US border because it wasn't a certified copy.

look if you are just going to visit you only need an id but only if you stay 1 or 2 nigths.

but if you are going to stay longer i sugest you get your passport and your id with you, but just in case you loose your passport you can have with you your birth certificate and social security number just in case

I went recently like a week ago and they are asking for passports now. Even if your driving by land. I would be sure to take birth certificate and license and Social sercurity. be sure to keep in a safe place though wher you can't lose them
