Moving to Cancun is going to be a great experience, of course it may be a little difficult to leave your friends and family, but now with all the electronic media is really easy to stay in touch so dont be sad.
Besides I have great news for you, of course you´ll have to learn spanish but there are lots of kids who speak good engliosh here. All the schools pay special attention to teaching english, since it is very important in a touristic city. There are also lots of american people with children living here. Many schools teach half day in spanish and half day in english so it shoul´dn´t be that hard, you can also find a tutor, and speed up your spanish learning.
I work as an english techer in a University here in Cancun, it is called Universidad del Caribe. There we hava place called Self-access center, it is like an interactive library, and students go there to practice english, you could volunteer for english conversation, and find someone who´s willing to help you the same way with your spanish. or you could find a teacher there who can help you speaking spanish.... it is just a bunch of ideas... but don´t be sad, just more and more excited.
All the best! ;)

Thats going to be a fun experience for you. Ohh well if you live somewhere where they mostly all speak spanish you'll learn. Buy a Spanish Dictionary and those cds that teach you also i think itunes as some you can just put on your ipod.
Don't be sad. Be happy =D

Don't be sad. You will quickly learn spanish, especially if you start going to school. You will make lots of friends, especially if you are white, as you will be a novelty and all the kids will want to be your friend. Be excited and look forward to the wonderful adventure you will have.

It will be great! Three of my grand daughters live here in Mazatlan with me and they love it. Do get a Spanish phrase book and start learning a few sentences that will be important to YOU. My grand daughters (Who are now 8, 4, and 2) became fluent very rapidly and now have more friends than they ever had in California. Relax and enjoy!
