Yes, visit the closes Mexican Consulate to your city, and they will be able to help you and give you a detailed list of documents you need to obtain it. You will probably need your birth certificate, photo id, etc. |

Yes, call to the embassy, if you can prove that you was born in Mexico they can give what we call "double citizenship" and then you can have a mexican paasport. |

If the US government gave you a green card. YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN. In fact before they give you the green card you have to have a passport with a visa in it. showing that you entered the USA legally. Unless you got your green card in Down town LA.
Sounds to me like you are a Mexican, and yes as a Mexican born you are eligible to get a Mexico passport. You need proof of this. So birth certificate will do the trick. You will also need some type of government issued photo ID.

Your information is conflicting. You say you are a U.S. citizen, but have a green card. What you really are is a U.S. RESIDENT, not a citizen yet. So, if you were born in Mexico, you are a Mexican citizen and can get a Mexican passport at a Mexican Consulate. |

Resident alien card? No. it's not worth the US citizenship for the passport. You may be able to travel on the RAC. |

Get your Mexican Passport. Then become a US Citizen and get your US Passport. This way you can two.
However I think in taking your oath of allliegance to the US you forgo alliegance to any other country and are supposed to give up government ties to that country. But I could be wrong.
Anyway, 2 passports from 2 countries is better than 1 from 1. In the long run you could accomplish a lot more.
By the way. If you do get two. Don't go around bragging about it. |
