I would take my credit cards for excursions,my ATM card for additional cash about 50 to 100 dollars in small bills for tips, small purchases and for the bus and maybe another $300 in reserve. Total about $400 dollars. You won't need much cash and if you do, use your ATM card.

Have a great trip)

That all depends on what outside activities you will be doing and what you want to purchase.check out the links I have listed, they may give you a better idea of what there is to do and what they cost. Have a blast!!!

I would try to figure out what kind of activities you are interested in that aren't covered by the all-inclusive (visits to historical sites, water activities, etc) and double it just to be on the safe side......

I AGREE WITH MANY OTHERS., BRING A COUPLE OF HUNDRED DOLLARS. YOU WILL GET BORED AT THE HOTEL, SO YOU WOULD WANT TO OFF THE SITE I SAY ATLEAST A HUNDRENF DOLLARS A DAY.

You better take extra money and save it in the hotel..

We are also going to an all inclusive in Cancun, the advise to use credit cards for excursions is good; we were advised to bring dollar bills for tipping; it will get you better maid service, etc. Instead of leaving a tip for the maid at the end of your stay, tip them daily, especially if you need extra towels, etc., a couple of dollars will go a long way.

Things to consider:
1. are u going to leave the resort
2. buy drinks that aren't included (bottles of wine)
3. participate in extracurricular activities (booze cruises, water sports, day trips)
4. get massages and other treatments
5. buy gifts
6. are tips included in your visit
I returned from Cancun recently. The only way you got somewhat strong drinks was by tipping. I think the beer was only 2%; you needed to leave the resort to get real beer.
I would bring a couple hundred dollars and a credit card.

when i went to cancun two years ago my hotel was all inclusive, so i did not have to pay for food or drinks. I brought about 300 for 5 days, then again others were sometimes paying for me. Have Fun!

we were there in jan 08 and the prices having really went up...but we don't eat all inclusive....look at expedia web site.that can give you ideas of things to do and costs

Melissa
We went to Cancun for an all-inclusive trip 2 years ago. I believe we took about $200, mostly in small bills, for tips and souvenirs. We did spend most of that, mostly on souvenirs.

We also used our credit card for an excursion and for one larger souvenir. I'd say we spent about $300-400 total.
