Follow the local authorities directions. They are used to it. If you plan to stay where you are. Home or Hotel? Hotels offer refuge if they can't they will get you to safety. if you're at home, well make sure you are prepared. If not go to an emergency shelter. Shelter food is sometimes sparse so bring your own along.

Get all your luggage, and take the next flight out. See if the hotel will credit you. If you stay they do have a safe place for you, I used to live in Puerto Rico. If you do stay, when the hurricane passes you won't want to be there, and you won't be able to enjoy anything. Check out of the hotel, call the airlines and see if there is a flight that you can get on. And get out. Be safe.

Dear stranded in cabo. I lived in cabo for 5 years and have been through 2 huracanes and lots of tropical storms. You will notice that they will cut the power as soon as the winds pick up to try and save transformers from blowing. Make sure that you have plenty of candles, water, lots of non perishable foods and be prepared to wait about 4-10 days for the electricity to come back on. If you are in a hotel, they might have a generator. These dont always work! Be cautious about eating any meat right after this storm. Alot of
people loose their refridgeration and meat often goes bad, but that doesn't stop some people from trying to peddle it. Good luck! CABOFLYGUY
