The most populated state in MĂ©xico is El Estado de MĂ©xico (that is the name, the same to the country), wich surrounds MĂ©xico city; there are in this area 30 million people (in a country with 106 milions, it is almost 30%), but in neighbor states (Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Morelos) are living almost the half of the total mexican population. In sumary, the most populated area in MĂ©xico is central area, "el altiplano" (the highlands).
