Central-western part of the country, where Mexico City and its suburbs and also Guadalajara (our 2nd biggest city) are located, as well as other state capitals such as Queretaro, Toluca and Guanajuato.

See article below. scroll down to the section titled "Demographic Dynamics' and read the 3rd paragraph to learn the areas that have the highest concentration of people. there is a small blue map there too. Click on it to get a larger map. this shows in color the areas of highest population. It tells how many people live in every square kilometer of area in that region.

Most of the population lives within a 250 mile radius of Mexico City.

Vaggaloor
Around Mexico city.
The most populated state in México is El Estado de México (that is the name, the same to the country), wich surrounds México city; there are in this area 30 million people (in a country with 106 milions, it is almost 30%), but in neighbor states (Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Morelos) are living almost the half of the total mexican population. In sumary, the most populated area in México is central area, "el altiplano" (the highlands).
Check the link from Charlie, she always gives great answers.
