Is $1000 a good deal for a 6 day, 5 night trip to Cancun, Mexico?

It's not bad, but you can do better. Right now tourism is down due to the economy so you can get some great deals. I ALWAYS book through a "real" travel agent and you can get better deals that way most of the time. I've been going to CancÃºn for over ten years and I've never spent over $1000 for a week, all-inclusive and that of course is including everything from the air, hotel, food, drinks. Right now Apple Vacations has some great deals... I'll give you a link below so you can check them out and see for yourself and that will give you an idea.

I live in Cancun and can't even get that deal for just a resort down here **** I paid like 1000 to stay at the oasis for a week in Spring Break alone and I thought that was a deal...

Well - how much are taxes and gratuities? Would you tip as you go or would they hit you up for a bill for gratuities?

Also, much would depend on the time of year. If it was at a peak time and a nice hotel then likely it's a good deal. Also, are they going to ask you to sit through a time share presentation or something to get that price?

It sounds good to me! If you figure your plane fare at $300 roundtrip, that leaves $700 for food and accommodations, which is a little over $100 per day. Of that $100, you'll probably be eating maybe $30 to $40 a day with food and drinks, so figure $60 for your room. Pretty cheap.

You'll probably also be paying for some cab fare, tho, and with planes the way they are now, you'll need to buy some food for eating on the plane, too.

Pack lightly so you don't have to tip the porters.

Sounds like a good deal. 6 of us made reservations to stay in Cancun at an all inclusive resort and flight and it was about $1000 each that's including the tax. We are staying for 10 nights. Our resort also has tax and gratuity included but i always tip a few dollars anyways.

yes, it is definitely good. It depends on the hotel, of course. We are booking a 5 day all-inclusive for $800 and staying at a 4 star hotel. Just keep reading the reviews for the hotel that you are staying at.

It's decent if you are flying from a big city. It's great if you are flying out of a seconday airport. specially if it is a last minute trip. if you are planning ahead, you maybe able to get a little better deal.

Just remember to take your "all inclusive bracelet" off when you go out, taxi drivers, retail sales persons, use to identify you as a "tourista", and to charge you more for services, and just put it back on when you go to your hotel.

Cancun it's the place to go, white powdery beaches, warm waters, Beautiful!
