Is 1600 dollars all inclusive for 9 days in cancun a good deal or too much? |
My brother asked me to go with himself and his friends over the summer to cancun, and that it was 1600 (per person) all inclusive that means airfare, hotel, and to some extent food and drinks at the hotel. He says it's a good deal, but 1600 to me still seems kinda steep even for 9 nights. yea i don't think i'll be making the trip, i'm sure i could find something cheaper in the future. |

Hello,
based on the information you give I'm afraid nobody will be able to tell you if it is a good deal or not.The three most important things are missing:
Where do you fly from?
Which hotel?
Single or double occupancy?
For example:
If you fly from Miami or Dallas and you stay at the "Blue Bay" 1600U$ is a ripoff.
If you fly from Seattle and you stay at the "Riu Palace" it is an absolute bargain.
There is a huge difference when it comes to quality in Cancun."all inclusive" by the way means in all of them that you can eat and drink as much as you wish.The difference is WHAT you eat and drink.Not to mention the difference in rooms and facilities.
I do live in the area since many years....in general is 1600 U$ for 9 days below average.
Sorry for my English....I'm German.

That is a great deal. I went 3 yrs ago same thing and spent 2500 all exclusive. They are so much fun. Have a great time. Eat lots of great food. |

You'd better get a 4**** hotel and all the amenities including meals, golf green fees and watersports for that price!! I've travelled all over the world and I never paid that much for a hotel with breakfast for 9 days unless it included all the above...especially in Cancun! |

and compare some prices for the exact days and possibly place your brother will be in Cancun.
$1600 in the summer, sounds a little high, but then again, it might be a real nice spot on the ocean for that money. |
