Yes it is, but don't get carried away by the low prices, quality can be very well disguised, go to upper class stores and negotiate volume discounts, this way you guarantee quality and low cost. |

of course! its the town that distributes all the leather to Mexico, the best quality and its cheap! they have a mall that sells only shoes, bells, wallets and hand bags, i have been to Leon and really its the best option to buy leather stuff |

Leon is the best place to find leather, is not that cheap but you can choose from different offers. you should visit "el mercadito" near the bus station, you can find there supplier if that is what you are looking for, plus a lot of little stores where you can find shoes, bags, jackets, belts, anything you want for personal or wholesale. |

Leon is definitely the best place to buy leather. It has some of the finest leather in the world and while its not that cheap it is worth what you pay for. |

Maybe. Is the only city in Mexico I know to be famous for it's leather, but I'm not really sure if it would be very very cheap. |
