No. It is a complete serparate country.
It's like separating Italy and France.
It is NOT a part of the USA at ALL.
Mexico, the USA, and Canada are North America.
Brazil, Equador, etc... is South America.
That is like separating Africa and Europe.
Below is a link of a picture of a map that will show you:

No Mexico is a seperate country from the USA.
That said, parts of modern day USA used to be in Mexico. For example Texas and parts of California. |

No Mexico is not part of the United States...however Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California and part of Nevada, Colorado, Utah use to be part of Mexico.
US–Mexican War was a military conflict fought between the United States and Mexico in the years 1846 to 1848, the U.S. annexation of Texas in 1845. Mexico had always refused to recognize the loss of Texas in 1836 and announced its intention to take back what it considered a rebel province. In the United States the people that supported the war were the people that were in favor of slavery at that time. Northern abolitionists attacked the war as an attempt by slave-owners to expand slavery and assure their continued influence in the Federal government. Henry David Thoreau wrote his essay Civil Disobedience and refused to pay taxes to support the war. Former president John Quincy Adams also expressed his belief that the war was an effort to expand slavery. According to the Mexican government argued, Santa Anna had no authority to negotiate or sign a treaty, and the Treaties were never ratified by the Mexican government.
Maybe that's why you hear that Mexico is part of the US???
So no Mexico is not part of the United States...just how Canada is not part of the United States. However Canada, United States and Mexico are all part of North America. |

Glad you know now! Mexico is not part of the US, but there are states that were once Mexican territory as someone mentioned.
If mexico were part of the US, then would Mexicans then not cease to be "Mexicans" and be Americans like the rest of the country and then how would they be illegal and over running the country??? |

No... Honey, if Mexico was part of U.S. we would have much more illegal Mexican immigrants than we do now... they would flood the country... |
