It's in Mexico & starts just south of San Diego,Ca where the the U.S. borders with Mexico at Tijuana, MX.
It stretches for over 1000 miles south to a city at it's southern most tip called Cabo San Lucas. This is where the Sea of Corte's { we call it the Gulf of California} meets the Pacific Ocean. It's more popularly called the Baja of California is also a Mexican state.
There's is a very popular annual race covering over 1000 miles & they all drive dune buggies.
It's a very popular resort area from people living in California & Arizona. It's lined with luxurious resorts on it's coast & some of Hollywood's rich & famous take their vacations in the area around Cabo San Lucas.
Cabo San Lucas has a reputation now that places like Acapulco, Cancun & other resort havens have had.
Personally, I took a bus trip on the Baja yrs. ago & I covered the entire Baja Pennisula. It was excellent, you not got to see the major resort areas but you got a taste of real life in Mexico when the bus stopped at the small towns.
We were allowed to get off the bus & wander around town for awhile. I got to see a lot of Mexican villages that are unlike any of the resort towns & it's quite a different experience. You get an idea of how the real Mexicans live.
