Is cancun a hoppin place in the summer?

Everyone hears about cancun during spring break. as a college student, I'm wondering if its popular in the summer, especially regarding kids around my age.

Cancun rocks.

It's the cheapest Caribbean travel spot. Most major American cities have direct flights. I've stayed in two different all inclusive resorts. The last one was the best. $500 per person for flight and 4 nights. That's all food and alcohol included. There were 8 bars including a swim up bar and 6 restaurants 2 of which were 5 star dining. Outside the resort there's fishing, snorkeling, para-sailing, pretty much any tropical sport you can think of.

I'd recommend going in mid August as it is their off season and it will be cheaper. There won't be as many people there as on Spring break but the summer is probably the second busiest time of year. You don't want it to be too busy. Watch out for family hotels too. I pissed off a couple people there on accident. Oops, well they do serve you alcohol 24 hours :)

I booked on Expedia a week before and flew out on a Sunday to save roughly 50%.

Have fun!!!

Cancun is rocking all year round. Nightclubs like Senor Frogs, Coco Bomgo, The City, Bulldogs, there is so much one week is just not enough.

Its crazy all year round...

Cancun is open for tourism 24/7. However, you might want to keep in mind that during the month of August, the majority of the tourists are nationals...with children. This year, classes begin on Aug 22nd. So if you wish to avoid an abundance of children running around Cancun, you might want to visit after Aug 23rd. If you are thinking about visiting Cancun this year, and want to hit it during a busy tourist time, I would suggest coming between Dec 23-Jan1.

It's always busy, if your going during the summer month's stay at a resort that caters to your age. Spring Break is crazy, then it brings in all walks of life, Try staying at the Oasis, it's know for people your age.

=)

Pam :)
It's always great! Very crowded at this time of year though. Yeah there's probably more college students that go there than anyone else. But it's real hot so be prepared! Have fun if you end up going!!
