yes,there is a special program for it that you cant chat to the penguin whater u want u would have to use the ones that they pick 4 u to say.....well for viruses im not that sure cause my computer got virsus for playing club penguin sometimes...well only once...so the website is safe.Also if a person ask u where do u live or somthin if u press the program in the begging for safty u could not read that...soo your child (whoever ) will not need to answer it...i hope this helps
