You can bring any medicines back from Mexico that you can keep a straight face about when the immigration guard in the U.S. asks if you have any medications.

You can LEGALLY bring back things such as caugh syrup or ampicillian... so if you are going to buy illegal drugs or medications, the be sure to buy some LEGAL medications and have them in the bag too... then when you are asked if you bought any drugs or medications, you can say "Yes.. I bought some Ampicllian and some vitamins"... and just don't tell them about the other stuff.

You can also buy a bottle of booze and some cigarettes and you can declare them... and then the immigration guard will remind you to be sure to pay the taxes.

When I read the answers to questions like yours, I have to wonder if any of those people have ever actually BEEN in Mexico or it they are just repeating what they have read on Answers... because it's obvious to me that they have never actually BROUGHT any contraband back to the U.S. from Mexico.

Yes, it is. Testosterone is considered a steroid, which are controlled substances.

Be very careful there........ usually folks that are caught AT THE BORDER with medications/drugs/whatever that are or may be legal in Mexico are illegal in the U.S. Those that sell this stuff to you (dealers, drug stores, pharmacies, whatever) often notify the authorities and tip them off ahead of time with license number, name or description. They do this for various reasons. You can get into serious trouble by bringing in anything illegal. My wife is from MX. I've been to MX over 100 times. We drive down to PV every year to live for 3-4 months. We have friends in MX govt. My advice....get it legally here and don't risk any problems with the authorities. We've seen what looked like normal tourist families pulled out of line for indepth inspections...apparently for no reason we could see.......and eventually taken away. Don't do anything stupid. Whatever it is you plan on bringing back, do your homework and BE SURE, 100% POSITIVE that it's legal here.

Mabye so because bringing outside unknown products to the US without agreement can sometimes affect our culture. Or mabye the US could find out about it and copyright which would be bad.
