November the hurricane season is pretty much over in the Caribbean. There is seldom much activity on the west coast and it's usually much smaller storms

I think if you go to the area's like puerto vallarta, acapulco etc. you will be less likely to experience a hurricane - no promises but I think you are less likely than if you go to the yucatan pen.

the best place to go on that date is Puerto Vallarta Jalisco

I just got back from Acapulco, was hit by a flash flood, the problem was the main coast avenue, the drainage system is really bad and we were flooded all night, The next day, the street's asphalt was all cracked up, holes everywhere and I almost went in a shopping store with my car that was underground and no one to even warn me it was flooded. Got out in time, whewwww. Don't go to any coast during hurricane season, the problem might not be the hurricane force but the horrific draining system these cities have. One more thing, beware of drinking water, only buy bottled water, and of course no ice at all, lethal to your piping system, mine was messed up the whole three days there.

Hurricanes occur in the Atlantic-Caribbean. In the Mexican Pacific they are called Cyclones. The season is over in September.

This time is still considered hurricane season, at least for part of it. It runs from June 1 to Nov. 30.

There's no way to know when and where they will hit and how far they will travel, so I can't really tell you where you can & can't go.

You are safe from hurricanes during this time -- the perfect time will be during November/December -- the weather will be great -- shorts and t-shirts will be all you need--unless you decide to go to a really fancy restaurant/theater, where 'dressing-up' is expected. In the evening, you will probably need a light jacket/windbreaker.

If you are planning on visiting the beautiful cathedrals in Mexico, please be aware that many do not allow you to go in if you're wearing shorts--most of them do not allow flash photography, either.

Some places in Mexico, like Acapulco and Tampico are not very safe right now to visit--too much violence/killings among drug lords-- however, most of the other beautiful ports along the Mexican Riviera are still very safe.

My wife and I are going Mayan Rivera the second week in November. We will be taking provisions with us in the event of weather problems. My wife has experienced dealing with hurricanes, she lived in Florida as a child and was raised there.
