Is it safe to travel and stay in mexico while in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy?

I live in Mexico and there are some excellent hospitals; and the bottled water is fine; good companies produce some for example there is Ciel which is from Coca-Cola, thereÂ´s Bonafont which is highly recommended and there are a lot more. In hotels they have good water filters. If you are going to prepare your own food make sure you go to a good supermarket I think (Chedrahui is a good one and there are a lot on the South), don't go to a market. If you are going to eat on a restaurant they to have good sanitation systems.

P.S.- What do you people think Mexico is an ice age country? We have some very nice restaurants and malls and great hotels. Not all of us drink water from the river you know! If you are staying in Mexico city go Santa Fe mall there you'll see we are not cave people.

That's what I would suggest bring your own water, but I would be a little nervous in bathing....or brushing your teeth.

Ask your obs/gyn before leaving.
Don't drink water.
Go to a place with a reputable hospital, in-case of emergency

I'm sure there are plenty of pregnant women in Mexico, so don't worry it's not like you're gonna stand out. However, I think you meant to ask IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL DURING MY 2ND TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY?--->It's not safe to travel after the 7month of pregnancy, especially in planes. Your OB/GYN Doctor should have warned you about this during check-ups.
While travelling stick to bottled water and eat Hotel Food, don't try to eat at local restaurants. Hotel's tend to use bottled water for cooking and washing fruits and vegetables, you can't say the same for local restaurants.

Depends on where you travel.Mexico doesn't have the highest standards for sanitation and some of the meat produce they use isn't safe.Trust me i've been to mexico 2 and my mom works at a gynocologists office.

What do you think???? Mexico is a normal country and by normal i mean like any other country that has services and goods. If you are afraid of the water, then buy the botteled one, but bathing and toothbrushing is perfectly healthy i mean no one drinks water during a bath or do you? How do you think the people in Mexico grow up? Please....get informed before you answer questions..
Of course youÂ´ll be fine during your pregnancy there, and by the way there are great hospitals and health services, private and public.
With the meat there is no problem at all!!! please dont make up stories about the countries. The US is not the only civilized country in the world.
