Do you live close to Tijuana? It is a border town and the papers and news have slightly blemished the truth about what is going on with the drug cartel. I do have friends that live there and they have been a bit afraid but mainly due to stray bullets. If you don't get in their way and aren't involved with the drug people you should be fine. There are a lot of other places to visit. I have been to Tijuana and i think its pretty dangerous.. you should go to other places in Mexico.There are plenty of other BEAUTIFUL places in mexico. Like Puebla, Ixtapa..are just a few

Its better if you have a person that speaks spanish but yea you can be taken advantage. But there are more beautiful places to visit other than tijuana.

dont listen to these wusses the media is just oirtraying tijuana in a bad light stay on the main revo dont act stupid or macho and youll be fine....keep extra 10 bucks for cops and be respectful tijuana rules!!!!!!!!!!

border towns depend on the tourist trade so you will be welcome, just remember not to act stupid, dont get drunk or into figths, and stay away from the red ligth district

if you are white they will automatically think you have money, cops and locals. so be very careful cause they will try and suck you dry or rob you, i suggest you go with someone who speaks very good fluent spanish. so you wont get tookken advantage of! serious, its cut throat.
