Cities at sea level (the Yucatan peninsula and all the beaches) are the hottest. Cities at high elevation (Oaxaca and San Cristobal de las Casas) are the coolest.

Yes, it is hot, but it depends where you're going. For some places that are less hot you can try looking for places with a higher elevation like Mexico city. But still, even though it is hot, July is a great month to vacation at the beaches like Cancun and Puertovallarta, just make sure to take plenty of water and sunblock :D

July is a great time to visit inland Mexico except for the Yucatan Peninsula which is flat. It's the rainy reason, but the nearly daily rains are usually short. The normally come in the late afternoon or at night. Because of them the landscape is greener and in normally polluted Mexico City, the air is cleaner.

From Zacatecas to Oaxaca, you'll find many interesting and charming towns.

it kinda depends where exactly your going to stay but usually during that time period there's rain where i usually go for vacation---- its in the upper 70's.

Puerto Vallarta is very nice.
