Is it true that people from norther Mexico tend to be lighter complected than other Mexicans?

Not at all. People with more Indian heritage are darker and people with more European heritage are lighter. More people of European heritage tend to live in central Mexico in Mexico City and other large cities. This is, of course, a generality and there are many exceptions. I live in southern Mexico and have a good Mexican friend with very fair skin and and red hair and freckles. There is a great variety of physical appearance among Mexican people.

Most Mexicans we are White or kind or White but it depends where you are most mexicans natives are darker, but they are every where, in the north in the south
Also we have some colonies, some french in Jalisco, in Chihuahua there is a Mennonite colony, in Queretaro there is a lots of spanish and Also a French colony, we are a contry that is a mix of coultures most spanish.

I'm Mexican,... my grandmother is an Indigenous and my grand father he was spanish...

Charlie is wrong, the most european heritage are in the north, most of them, in Sinaloa and Sonora, because there are french heritage, and spain, my heritage is from Spain, my last name is Escudero and i live in Sonora. In MÃ©xico city are darker, cause the people there have indian heritage, from the Aztecs.

There are more white skinned people in the north of Mexico due to the inmigration of whites (polish,germans and americans) after the American Civil War. They stayed in Tamaulipas, Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, etc. Most of them lost their lands, incomes and homes and decide to go to Mexico.

Actually every time USA has a war many americans cross the borther in some kind of protest.

If you see, mexican music groups "norteÃ±o" (the music of the north) has german and czech, polish, etc influence wich employes the accordion (wich is not mexican). And that music remembers the american and european folk music.

Actually this is true.

I tend to travel a lot to the northern parts and a higher percentage of people are white skin with black hair or light skin with light brown hair and some with a reddish color too. Don't know why though.
Also the women's body seem different, square jaws and big wide hips, short torso and thick legs.

But like I said, I wouldn't know exactly why.
