Please stop worrying! No one is shooting tourists. The violence is between drug gangs and the police. You'll be fine, you might notice increased security but that's it.

I've been in Ensenada for three weeks now and I feel safe, even walking alone and away from the tourist area. You'll probably stay in calle primera and around it, which is where all the tourists are, and most likely nothing bad will happen. Cruises stop here two or three times a week... I was in the tourist area on wednesday and all the tourists were there having fun (and a little drunk).

Please don't worry, have fun and be cautious, as you would be in any new place, and you'll be fine.

Nobody is shooting tourists. The violence is between drug gangs and gangs and police, mostly in border towns. A person living in Ensenada wrote a couple of answers here in the past couple of days stating things are fine there.

Who shot a tourist? I watch the news everyday and never heard it before. Mexico is safe, nothing to worry about. The borders have had issues, like a month ago. But have not heard anything anymore.

The problem here is not Mexico it's the US media that likes keeping its citizens under fear. Try to think of something good you've heard of Mexico on the news. There's none correct, the reason for it is because violence/negative sales in the US.

Mexico is a peaceful and beautiful country. Do not worry there is more violence in most major cities in the US.

Before coming to Mexico try to research online what to eat, visit for each town you will be visiting this way you get to enjoy each place much better. Que tengas un bonito viaje en Mexico.

Yes there is alot of violence right now in mexico and yes its creeping up to the US. BUT its mostly in border towns and is between cartels, gangs, police, politicians and the army. I have heard some about there being problems also in Cancun, but not as much as being in Juarez or Tijuana. You should be fine if you stay in tourist areas. Personally I go to mexico about once every 1-2 years and I am in a non-touristy area just north of Mexico city. I stay with my in-laws and have not had any problems. Dont let the drug war scare you too much...just pay attention to your surroundings.

No, it is not that bad, the war is just between the gangs and the army. In that case US is worst because just in Chicago happened 500 murderers the last year.

Mexico is safe, the war is just in the border cities because the drug gangs want to export their product to their biggest market (the US)

i jus cam from mexico and i had no problems it was fine and nice i had a good time....jus dont drink there water and always keep your eye open to everything around u
