Is there a minimum age in Mexico to go clubing (not drinking)?

In Mexico federal regulations say that you must be 18 Yr at least to have drinks in a bar or restaurant.

Your teenagers will be allowed in most clubs for dancing and having dinner except for those clubs that are specifically intended for adults only.

Some clubs will ask for ID to cover their butts and won't let you in if you're under 18 because once you're in, no one cards you for drinks. I never saw any type of wristbands to distinguish those who could drink from those who can't.But a lot of places won't ask. I've never been to Cancun, but when I lived in Queretaro, that was my experience. My belief....you probably won't have any problem. If one club won't let them in, try the next.

xavier should win. anybody can do anything at any age if they feel like it. i have a friends whos 8 year old sister goes to the discos(clubs, lol) every weekend. its alright. and i know by 14 she'll be drinking. but by 16 she'll be pregnant, and 17, married. its just...whatever lifestyle they chose. im 15 and ive been to the disco once. i cant stand the hoochies that hang out there. i meet people at the beachsurfing or playing soccer, or at the plaza...

but mexico is really liberal. sure there all sorts of laws about that stuff but theyre not enforced. which is bad but pretty cool at the same time. they can dance all they want. and drink. and do whatever. if you let em. and im guessing you club people will.

Legally, you have to be 18 to drink in Mexico. This law isnÂ´t inforced tho, I live in Cancun and I see lots of teeners under 18 dancing and drinking in nightclubs.

18 yrs. old, but they dont always check on your ID, it depends how look, if you look young they will ask for it, if you dont you can probably get in without n ID

Legally, people are allowed to drink at 18.
As Cancun is a big destination for young americans, a lot of the night clubs allow people under 18 to enter this places, but there are some who actually ask for an official ID, I don't know exactly wich ones are these, but you should check with someone who visits often. The thing is that sometimes the police does random visits and checks that everything is going OK, so you might want to avoid a situation like this.

I have never been id'd when I went to Cancun. The clubs didn't even card for drinking purposes. I love Cancun!

Sure, you can be 10 years old in Mexico and go clubing and drinking .. as long as you pay .. they love americans !!

Yes, in order to enter a club, although if you are not drinking you should show an ID which prooves you are at least 18.

There are also other places as Hard rock caffee and Planet Hollywod that are kind of clubs and you can enter under 18, BUT can't drink.

Anyone under age have to be an adult. To drink you need to be over 18 years old.
To go into discos you need to be over 16 years old.
To go into adult entretaintment centers you need to be an adult.

if they go with an adult they will let them in any where.
and besides 15 is the age to go clubbing in mexico.
