The prices given here are not for "moderate" restaurants. 3000 pesos per person per day is the price for eating at very expensive restaurants in very expensive hotels. And of course, you didn't ask about that nor about how much it would cost to eat for a whole day.
For a moderate Mexican style restaurant 50-150 pesos per person or 100-300 for two adults. You could easily eat more cheaply if you know Spanish and are willing to eat away from where tourists eat. On the other hand, if you go to a French or Italian place is La Zona Rosa, it'll be a lot more. |

If you eat at mc donalds subway, popeyes it costs you the same as in america. at a restaurant about $40 per night for two people. and in a tacos stand about $15 ,$20 for two. (dls) |

please keep in mind that one the biggest problems in mexico city is the dramatic division of SOCIAL STATES, in this beautiful city, a dinner for 2 people can cost you as low as 6 to 10 dollars if you eat at the street tacos or tortas with a coke, 40 to 60 dollars at the average nice restaurant , and up to 160 usd if you want to dinner at the higher restaurants of mexico city !! i guess there is no much difference with new york

It depends you can eat on the street for about 30 pesos or 1500 pesos. average about 400 in a nice restaurant i guess |

Without alcohol, we can eat at nice restaurants and cafes in Polanco for between 250-450 pesos for two.
Very nice restaurants start around 350 pesos per person,excluding alcohol, and go up from there. Sometimes, way up. |

If you eat on hotels and restaurant it more expensive about 3000 pesos a day/ person. Well there are many places in Mexico that has cheap but affordable food. about 300 pesos or 6-8 dollars a day per person. |
