Hi Angel, Mexico is actually BOTH North America and Central America. When you say North America, you're talking about a Continent, and Continents are described by the land masses they are on amongst other things, but Canada the US and Mexico all are on the same Land Mass (When you look at tectonic plates and really deep underground, I mean really deep, you see that Canada Us and Mexico will always move together and drift throughout the world, I'm talking about a couple of inches a year only).
Also, when it comes to Central America, Central America is not a continent, but rather a geographical description of several peoples and cultures. This is why Mexico can be both. Also, may make it a little more confusing, Mexico is also considered part of Latin America. In this case, Mexico is broken into its cultural and language characteristics where most South American countries, Mexico and other North American countries fall into (guess what, Mexico isn't the only North American country that speaks Spanish!) This list is comprehensive of all the countries that make up North America, (It's not just the three that most answerers responded.)

Mexico is part of NORTH America and Central America is a name for a region of NORTH America. See site below to see that geographically, Central America is just a region...and it is part of the North American Continent. There are 23 countries in North America. The border between North and South America is between Panama and Colombia.

Both. It is part of the North American continent, and it is part of the region known as Central America, which is almost entirely in North America. Think of the term "Central America" as an old racist border between white and brown.
