Because the playa del Carmen area is so close to the equator, the weather is tropical all year. They don't have a winter, but the weather is just nicer that time of year- not as muggy.

No of course!! Mexico is best from Jan-Mar. It will be awesome! Check out Cancun if you like a party resort town, or the Mayan Riviera for a more quiet-luxury resort area. Check local websites and alerts to make sure the area has not been extensively damaged by hurricanes though.

Jan. is a good time of year to be on the beach in Playa It's not so hot, but good for swimming and water sports and just hanging. Jan Feb. mar. are the most comfortable beach months. That is THE season for tourist.

i was there over christmas break and it was absolutley beautiful, there is a beautiful beach, called akumal around the area with a beautiful lagoon as well. great for snorkeling! I would also suggest Xel-Ha, it is a beautiful natural park with cliffs a lazy river, and snorkeling (all natural)! go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you're by the Mexican Riviera, there's a lot of luxury hotels and most of them are for adults only. NO TEENAGERS UNDER 21. Try the Secrets Capri Resort. I stayed there for my honeymoon in december and it was very nice. This hotel is only about three years old. Check out their website, I don't have the address but just google it.....
