Santa Barbara! Its my home town and its amazing trust me. There are great parties, just ask someone how to get to IV and you will find parties almost every night. Then when you go downtown ask people where Lily's tacos are. Best tacos, like you are in Mexico and they are cheap. |

Go to mexico you are allowed to drink there at 18 years old, dont worry about the war betwen drug dealers is only in the border with the States so just go as south as you can> CANCUN, YUCATAN, Any beach will be safe |

There are some problems for a person alone in Mexico, so unless you are going with a couple of friends I would not go there.
I would go to Santa Barbara to be safe. |

Mexico is a hell-hole, at this point, probably more dangerous then Iraq. Be safe, don't go there. There's no law enforcement down there, they're all corrupt. The government's in shambles and drug cartels have all but taken over. Besides, what can you do there that you can't in Santa Barbara? I went to Mexico when it was still under control, and frankly it sucked.
