Mexico vacation help please!!!? |
Ok, I want to go to Mexico for Spring Break this year and me and some friends were thinking of Cancun but it is so cliche...Are there any great places near Cancun that aren't too overly expensive? (Looking for great nightclubs, restaurants, beaches, and entertainment!) I would greatly appreciate your help! Thanks Additional Details I would love to visit Australia. Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to stay a week there and for airfare! Just Mexico please! |

In the area, if you are looking for nightclubs I'd stay with Cancun. Other tourist areas like Cozumel as suggested by others will have some clubs as will Playa del Carmen but these places are nothing like Cancun for nightclubs. Cancun has the most, the biggest and the best night clubs.
That being said, I'm way too old for nightclubs but if I wasn't I'd pick Cancun. |

Try looking into an all inclusive spring break vacation they are always the best option and by far the most affordable. Here is a blog entry that helped me out they show several options for many destinations starting at under $100.
Enjoy

No, Cancun is the place to go, if you haven't been there. Otherwise, there's Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan or Acapulco but those have a more relaxed atmosphere. |

Looking for great nightclubs, restaurants, beaches, and entertainment is a bit cliche in itself don't you think?
My recommendation would be go to Mexico City. No beaches but you can find anything else you want plus a TON of other stuff (i.e. culture).
I'll put a link of the pyramids there as the source. Very spirital place.
Honestly, what you are looking for are gonna end up being touristy spots that all look like Florida South. Try something new! |

CoCo Bongo!!! Great Place for all who are over 21. Check it out on YouTube.
It cost $40 to get in but all drinks are included...The entertainment and music is great.
Coco Bongo is a must see - it is a cross between Circus de Soleil/Concert/Theatre/Nightclub. Everything from dance teams to trapeze artists, gymnasts and scenes from The Matrix and Batman is played out to mainstream dance music. The night really is a performance, not like any other club, and you are there to be entertained and amazed.
Yes it is crowded, but not more than was enough to give it a great atmosphere. The music varies from Elvis and the YMCA to Usher and Bob Sinclar, and it is not a place to take too seriously. The rest of the bars in Cancun are the same as you will find in any other mainstream entertainment area, but Coco Bongo is in a league of it's own, no other place like it! |
