No I do not think it is a good idea. It has not really changed much, and mexicans are just climbing over and it is not well guarded like the Berlin wall was. It is a waste of money and giving some Americans the false security that they think it has. Also Bush did it because that is what many Americans wanted. It is a total waste of my taxes. Sure we need better control of borders and knowing what is going on but we have only wasted more dollars.
