alright so i have everything i need to get into mexico,
but all of a sudden my mother decides she doesn't want to sign a letter of consent for me to cross the border.
i am 17, i'm travelling with my boyfriends family.
we're not stopping in the U.S, it is a direct flight to mexico.
i've heard that being under 18, i need consent from both parents.
however, i only live with my dad, and he said he would sign the letter.
they have joint custody ( i think ) but i solely live with my dad, and my mother doesn't pay child support or anything.
i've heard mixed up stuff, sometimes it's under 16, sometimes it's under 18.
i need to know if there is any way i can get around this problem,
and if i can use a letter from just my father to get into mexico.
Additional Details
i am coming from Ontario, Canada.
and my parents are divorced.
if anyone has a source for the information they're giving me i'd really like to see it, thanks so much. |

as long as you have your state issued i.d and a birth certificate or passport the immigration on mexican side can care less who you are traveling with and if they do ask just tell them you are with your aunt and uncle .....each time i go to my house over ther i see little high school kids crossing back the the u.s after a day of buying pirate movies and c d "s ......so good luck and have fun eat a taco de trompo for me later........ |

you can still go to mexico, even if your mother does not sign the paper.

well it depends where u live and what immigration says, i mean from my understanding i cant take my 3 kids to pakistan cause their dumb father wont sign for a passport, so basically i went on my own and left the kids, cause those are usa laws |
