They don't card people! You can pretty much do whatever you want. But they have certain bars that you have to be like 30 or over which I think you could care or less about! I think you should go an enjoy you self there. It is very nice there. Just be-careful and don't do something you will regret! |

They never asked for an ID when I was there and I was underage (bear in mind this was a few years ago). If worst comes to worst, try a small bribe! |

i went to mexico in april, not cancun but cozumel, and you'll be happy to learn that there is no drinking age in mexico. though i dont recommend you get drunk in cancun, because of all the crime and predators that are there. maybe have one or two drinks, but you can have a good time just by the awesome atmosphere of music, dancing, and the beaches! |

This is a no-brainer. You must be of legal age to drink. |

It's been a couple of years but the last time I was in Cancun, there was a 15 yr. drinking age. But, be careful and remember you are still in a foreign country. Have seen older experienced travelers get into bad situations in Cancun. Also, you will not be boarded onto an aircraft if you are intoxicated...and it sucks to fly if you're nauseous.
Have a great time and take copies of your passport with you and leave one copy at home, just in case! |

You are too young to drink and should not be going to Mexico with a boy. Where are your parents? |

I have been there twice. The first time I was there was two years ago... I went for Spring Break (I was 20). Two of the best night clubs were shut down during my entire stay there (5 days) because they were caught admitting/selling alcohol to minors. We were asked for Ids EVERY SINGLE night we were there. You might get lucky and not get carded, but there is a high risk that you might... especially during a peak season like that (Spring Break is a very popular season there.
I was there last month and since it's low season, not many young people go there in September so no one was being asked for proof of age.
I would wait and go in the summer until you're 18. The best times to go there (Party Wise) is Spring Break, or Summer Break. It's the same thing essentially.
Good Luck! |

okay some of these people have no idea what they are talking about. I just got back from cancun and they do not card you for anything. I am serious. I went to about 6 six different clubs and they didnt card anybody. I saw 16 and 15 year olds in there. So dont worry about it. You will not get carded. |

You will get carded yes. But see being able to drink or not doesn't determine if you will have a good time. If you have a good time or not will all determine on you.
Have Fun if you go! |

Wait until you are old enough. If he really cares about you, then you will figure some other place to go. |

Anyone under 17 cannot travel alone without the parents' consent and/or supervision. You will have to go through the proper channels. |
