I have lived all my life in Mexico, and I can tell you is a great place to travel! there are really some incredible places here.. this is some of the nicest places I've known:
1) Cancun
2) los cabos
3) Puerto vallarta
4) Veracruz
5) huatulco (oaxaca)
6) Acapulco
7) Puerto escondido
8) Chiapas

As you see, there are a lot of good places to travel.. I recommend you to check this page: visitmexico.com

I love Mexico... I'm fonder of places that have a real town, not just the giant tourist resort like Cancun or Cabo San Lucas (Though at Cancun and Cabo San Lucas both, the beach is just so gorgeous that it's still fabulous even if it's not a real town.) If you're headed to Cancun or Cozumel or Isla Mujeres, but you also want to spend a couple of days in a pretty colonial town, you could spend a couple of days in Merida, and also spend a day visiting Mayan ruins --that's a good trip. I went to Los Cabos with my folks as a teenager, the scenery was so beautiful, if I went back there I'd probably go to San Jose del Cabo because it does have a real town, not just the resort like Cabo San Lucas (a spectacular resort admittedly). My sister really liked Mazatlan, which seems to have three parts: the new resort, the old resort, and the colonial town -- all in one city.
On a grisly note: I would be interested in Acapulco but not right now, the violence is apparently hitting Acapulco pretty bad, there have been policemen murdered and apparently there were decapitated heads found on the beach. It would not be directed at you as a tourist, it's the narcos vs. each other and vs. the cops, but still you don't want to be finding that on your honeymoon, that's for sure. So, like, for right now I would not myself go to Acapulco till things cool down a bit.

Depends on what you like. Cabo, Cancun, and Cozumel are nice, but pricey and very amercanized. If you want someplace cheaper and not so "Disney-fied" try Puerta Vallarta or Mazatlan. As far as violence goes in Mexico, you are more at risk in most US cities than here in Mexico.

Try the "Vacations" or "Resorts" section on www.lagerstone.com for ideas - FYI, I wasn't a fan of Mexico.

Do you like adventures? Well if you do like, I will say close your eyes and rotate the Globe. Pick place randomly and that will be one of the best place where you can spend your honeymoon. Good Luck!

September is still far away. Isnt it?

AND!! And why a beach?? I presume that honeymoon location should be a GOOD romantic location; for both of you. And thats why I will recommend world's TOP honeymoon locations.

1. Paris
2. Venice

Ask yourself what do YOU (both of you want) want??? A see gnawing at you all the time OR a fun place where you can go and shop and have merry and can capture lifelong memories and (and... and ....) with similar creatures.

Money!! as you said!! is never a problem. Trust... The other point is, it is once in a lifetime (for me. Yeah. True).. Does the money really matters???

Write back if you agree....

Hoping for your best plans..

Sounds fun to me!!! Just don't forget your passports...no more running across the boarder with just a birth certificate.

congratulations!!
first of all, dont pay attention to the people who says mexico isnt safe nor nice to see.. they obviesly havent been there.
september might not be high season, so you might get nice deals, usually mexicans go to los cabos, cancun, playa del carmen, cozumel, tulum, ixtapa or vallarta when it comes to beaches they are all pretty, depends really on the deal you get and the hotel..
now... if I were you I would chose a cruise on the caribbean, (wich I would take for my honeymoon on july) cause the natural beauty its amazing there and the sites are very interesting and you will find different cultures mixed, wich would be a nicer experience then if you go to other "safer" places..

We went to my cousin's wedding in Cozumel. His reception was at a hotel outdoors next to the beach. It's a small island right across from Playa del Carmen and Cancun. You can fly into Cozumel directly. The Hotels are beautiful, and the beaches are great.

1. Acapulco
2. Cancun
Stay away from Puerto Vallarta. Nasty!

You might try San Jose, Costa Rica.

NO NOT MEHICO!!!!!! its a really poor country and there are ppl litarily beging at street corners. not very romantic, try the Bahamas and not Jamaica either its also really poor. the Bahamas have really clear water. and white sand, if you've already been there, try Hawaii. again, white sand and really clear water plus in the Bahamas and in Hawaii there is like NO polution.

Mexico would be good....the east coast of Mexico has warmer waters (Cancun!). I would also recommend Hawaii but it is expensive (more so than Mexico). Congratz on your wedding!
