Several of the big Riviera Maya resorts have their own wedding planners to help you with all the logistics and are popular places to get married. Beautiful beaches and scenery there too, so your guests will love you for picking such a fun place.
You may want to do a little research on other places as well because there are some SPECTACULAR places there to get married. (Personally, I think I'd be more inclined to go for a historic hacienda with horse-drawn carriages and opulent gardens, but hey, that's just me.)

It all depends on what type of wedding you are planning, what do you have in mind? There are a lot of places very nice in Mexico that you won't find anywhere in the world.
Do you want to get married on the beach?
Do you like to stay in a quiet place or town?
What is that special place for you?
I live in the States and I got married in Mexico City in a beautiful place, everything was in the same place, I got married by church in this beautiful "HACIENDA" a full package, not to expensive you get there by car and you stay in the same place all the time, you walk from the pool side where you can set up the church part and then walk through the gardens to the other end to another nice place where the party is out doors, just beautiful, all the people were impress how beautiful wedding we had. And you may think Mexico City is not a very nice place, well it was very nice, people happy, we were happy and we found just the right place, so I can say it was an unforgettable moment for everyone and people that went down there from US they learn a lot from the Mexican culture and they visit a lot of places that they never imagine they could find in that city.
There is always a nice place in Mexico just focus on what you want and how much you want to invest.
Mexico is cheaper and nicer that getting married in the US, I can guarantee that.

You have to research Taxco, Guerrero. They have a beautyful church there, the city is so romantic and georgeos.
