I enjoy photography and live in Acapulco and travel all of Mexico. Camera - no problem.
My experience that may help you- Always ask a Mexican if you can take their picture , especially the older ones. they still have lingering ideas about photos and I quickly learned to always ask. Sometimes they will look away or even try and avoid being in the picture. Please respect them and always ask.
rechargable batteries are the only way to go !!!!!!
If taking alot think of buying another memory stick or downloading to your e mail |

Take the usual precautions and you'll be fine. Most crimes in Mexico are crimes of oppotunity. They see something not being guarded and they rationalize that God must want them to have the item. The majority of Mexicans are very poor be our standards and every little bit helps.
So for the most part, keep you cameras around your neck. In a restaurant, don't hang your camera off the back of the chair--put it on the floor and put your foot through the strap.
In general, I feel safer in Mexico and I do in Washington DC. |

It all depends on which part of Mexico are you going. As in any other country, there are safer areas. There's a big chance that nothing will happen to you if you go to Puerto Vallarta; however, if for any reason you try to show it off, there's always people observing, like anywhere else. So, in Mexico, as in any other place, just take enough security measures. |

I've never been to Mexico, but I travel a lot, and I have experience. The most important thing is to not leave your documents, and all your important papers, money and passports in the hotel. Always keep them with you ( in a small purse or bag ) NEVER in your pockets !!!!! Keep your eyes OPEN WIDE :) And another thing, keep your stuff around your neck, or hold them in your hand in a small purse.
Best wishes for you and your bride to be :):) Enjoy your honeymoon !!
Cheers :) |
