Friday means traffic out the *ss because of all the people that head down for the weekend and vice versa. Go either late Thursday night/super early Friday morning, or wait until Saturday.

i dont think it will be as bad. cause people are trying to go to mexico or the weekend not come back. i know i am. ill be crossing on friday, see u there. ill be waving a big red flag so u notice me. lol jk. have fun

If you must cross on Friday, consider parking on the US side and walking across. Typically the wait to return on foot is much shorter than by car. You can get a taxi very easily at both border crossings and parking is relatively cheap and secure. Car traffic is terrible basically all day on Friday.

Iv done it after 8-9 in the morning and the wait is 1/2 hr to an hr! Or if u dont want to do that.....leave at 1-2 in the morning before everybody starts lining up! Dont come back Sat...not even early...hell'a traffic! And 4get Sunday...u'll wait 2-3 hrs their!

The wait at the Otay Mesa border crossing is historically MUCH shorter. I would suggest this route!
