If you go all inclusive your food is included, you can also go EP and buy your meals which also is a great way to taste all the different varieties at all the wonderful restaurants.

If you are all inclusive then the resort provides you with all your drinks and meals for free if you are on site. The resorts usually have many dining establishments on the property as well as bars and food courts by the pool. (You will wear a wrist band all week that is waterproof)
The only time you will pay for any food or drink is when you choose to eat or drink off site.
I went with all inclusive and had a SUPER time while in Cancun!
Have a great trip! :)

It depends on your food taste and your budget, you have to calculate if you wanna have expensive dining all over Cancun or prefer hotel food, which is always great but you don´t get to try the local flavors.

We have food supply to please every mouth and every budget. If you stay in the hotel for all your meals and snacks make sure you try the theme food you will be treated with as this will give you the opportunity to try southern Mexican food. At the airport you will be given a magazine called Cancun Tips, keep it & read it, is the bible to go around here man.

Either way, Welcome to Cancun!!!!

If you are going to lounge around the pool and hotel beach all day and if you are the type of person who does not mind eating all of your meals in the same hotel for a week, get the all inclusive. But first check to see how many different restaurants are available. Also, if you plan to drink a lot, all inclusive may be cheaper.
If you like to explore and eat from some of the local restaurants in Cancun then only pay for the room with breakfast and lunch and eat dinner on your own on the strip.

I think you should go with the all inclusive. I went in January and didn't do an all inclusive and it was EXPENSIVE. My average breakfast in USD was $12-15, lunch $10-20, and dinner $20-25. Add in drinks and we are really getting pricey. I stayed at Casa Maya and it was like 5 dollars per beer and about $6 per mixed drink. Restaurants were about the same on prices for drinks and food. We planned on eating other places a lot but with a group of 6 people we could never decide where to go and ended up at the hotel most of the time.

If you plan on staying away from your hotel a lot then don't do the all inclusive. If you want to go to the clubs there such as Senor Frogs every night (each club has its own day of the week where all of the hotels go there) then you may not want to do all inclusive either because you usually pay about $40 for all you can drink which wont work out well with the money you are trying to save with the all inclusive.

So if you know you are going to be at the hotel a lot do all inclusive otherwise don't.
