First of all, your school wouldn't take you to a dangerous place and put you in risk, would they?
Second, the violence or what you call "drug war" is only among ppl inside the drug problems and all that
And Third and last one, don't listen to the news, they love putting a lot of red into the news, yes... Mexico is not a white country, we do have crime and everything, but the robbery in the city is the same in all big cities.
So relax and enjoy your trip :) |

well im a college student that has plans to visit mexico aswell for spring break. we leave next week and i am alittle on edge about safety aswell . But hopefully you and your group will be well secured while on your stay . as the same for me and my group . I have heard the crime is near the border area only. But just evaluate your surrounding when you arrive and if you dont feel safe then dont be afraid to express that to one of your chaperones. Have a great , safe trip . and ill try to do the same. |

The violence in Mexico is pretty much confined to the border cities and the rest of Mexico is pretty much layed back and relaxed. Mexicans think that America is more dangerous than Mexico, because in the USA, the violence is more random and scattered--on Sunday, a guy shot a pastor and some church members in Missouri and yesterday a guy killed ten people in Alabama. |

Of course it's safe, the Drug war is in the northern part of Mexico the news makes it look more dangerous of course but it is perfectly safe from the rest of Mexico. |
