Tips for mexico Trip? |
I am going to mexico at a resort i am going for a week i am 19 year old female and was wondering how i can get the most of this trip. we are going during christams just me and my mom i havn't been outside of North America. How can i get the most fun and experience out of this trip? |

Drink bottled water or Gatoraide.
Clean all pop cans before drinking from them, dirt gathers here and wheres there is dirt in Mexico there is bacteria.
When it comes time to eat, Wash hands then Purell them good.
Carry toilet paper in a back pack with you, not all public restrooms have toiltel paper.
(BTW I always had my backpack, jsut made things easier if I bought somthing)
Wash all fruits that dont peal. (apples, limes for your corona's)
Dont drink to get drunk all day in the hot sun.
Dont drink alot at night, after all your going on a vacation that you want to enjoy and have memories of, not memories of being hung over. Have a few drink with your Mom, just dont over do it.
Do a culture thing. We take the Bus alot. Its safe and in its self a cultureal experience.
Do at least one tour of something. Ask which tour is most popular.
Try researching your travel destination on the trip advisor boards. LOADS of information there

don't drink the tap water, the bottle water is fine.
the resort should have it's own bar so you can hang out there at night and go in to town with your mom during the day, I'm sure they will have a lot of activities for you there. Just don't go wondering around alone, but that goes for any town that you don't know, in the US or Mexico.
Oh and if you go to a bar outside the resort just don't drink mixed drinks, sometimes they will use the worst alcohol and you will end up really bad with nobody to take you home. Just have one beer. Oh wait you can't drink... but if you do, that is my advice.
And it is true, Mexico is part of North America. |

Do not drink the water! Do not go to the donkey show! Do not stay at a dirty hotel. Just be careful. Mexico an be a nice place, but stay away from dirty areas, it can get bad. I went there when i was 12 and got offered tequila shots all the time. so just watch out for suspicious people! =) |
