Travel from Cancun to Playa del Carmen?

Not sure why tour companies sell packages that get you 99.5% of the way to your resort and then leave you to figure out the last .5%. But if it was me, and the price was anything close to reasonable, I'd just book the shuttle through the tour company.

Not sure where you are flying from but in these days of 3 hour preflight check ins to clear security and few direct flights, it a long day already. I wouldn't want to have to try to figure out that last detail on landing. Again, if it was me, I'd book in advance, get outside the airport, find my shuttle, by a beer for the bus/van and start your vacation.

Easy thing to do is to add the transfer to your package and ride the hotel or trip provider's van. . Go outside the the airport to find the right rep. The ones inside are most often time share guys.
To avoid them after the airport tell the "nice" hawkers that you already own a time share. They usually leave you alone after that.

HI you can do your transfer with the resort,but you have to share the van and some times takes longer to get your place,I suggest contact a transport company that provides good rate in private. try it!! they are nice and safe!

Take the bus out of cancun it cost about 6.00 to get to Playa del Carmen. You get to watch a movie and relax after your flight

I would trust the hotel cab over a reg. cab

I typically dont trust the cabs there. I have been to Playa once, Cancun twice, Cozumel four times and Progreso twice. Its always safer, in any foreign country, to just do things through the resorts. Honestly, the shuttle may actually be fun anyway because you get to meet other tourists that are staying where you are. I have also rented jeeps for pretty cheap in Mexico and drive around on your own time, but that gets pretty dangerous too since the cops there will pull you over for no reason and expect money. Your safest bet is to just do the shuttle. Have a safe trip!

Don't get a taxi if you absolutely don't have to. Taxis are very VERY expensive and have no set rate. They can charge you whatever they want. Your question is kind of confusing... are you talking about flying to Cancun International Airport then traveling to your resort in PDC or what? If that is the case then I recommend you take a shuttle from the airport to your resort. They have shuttles that you can take. I'll give you a link to check out the travel options for you.
