Playa del Carmen, Tulum,Puerto Morelos,Akumel (Riviera Maya) is south of Cancun and closer to many places of interest.
Maya Ruins (Chichen Itza)
Xcaret http://www.xcaret.com
Xel-ha http://www.xel-ha.com
You can also visit Cozumel from Playa Del Carmen just a 45 minutes ferry ride.
Check out the Riviera Maya area it's as interesting as Cancun in a different way. Not as Americanized.

CANCUN, CANCUN, CANCUN! Acapulco, Cabo San Luca, Baja California, and Puerto Vallarta are all beautiful and great. However, I especially love Cancun though. I actually almost started crying when we left, and I NEVER cry. It was and has been the only vacation destination that I have ever been to where I didn't get homesick. I love that place! |
