I am an American nurse living in Mexico , and believe me...EVERYONE uses the bottled water to drink and prepare food...I am sure your family does too. You just need to be sure he does not drink the bath water!!! The only immunizations he needs are the normal ones he should be current on.

you buy water in most of Mex., they sell it by the gal, and it is stored in containers and it's safe to drink, as for your son , ask your doctor he will advise what you need, your family that you stay with will look after every thing , thats the why they live , don't worry. they live like you and me , and they look after things , like water and thier health , and the ones they love

In a manner of fact...Mexico's water is very clean. Mexicans dont use bottled water for cooking, bath or anything, just for drinking.

I guess that maybe you have never been in MÃ©xico before.

We always drink bottled water, but to wash dishes or clothes, to take showers and everything else we use regular water, it is potabilized (usually cities add chlorine), it is only not for drink. We even cook with that water.

All that about the water in MÃ©xico is (in my experience and opinion) FALSE.

i agree with the last person, almost everyone uses bottled water to drink and cook, i know i do (i live in Mexico), for bathing we use the one that comes out of the shower, the only bad thing that can happens is that the water may be dirty (with sand), thats it, nothing bad has happen that i know of, but i would use mostly bottled water

No shots needed, Mexico is a very civilized country. Most cities have a water store with delivery, Cristapuro services Baja California. Personal size bottles available in all stores.

On the matter of the bath...stand the little bugger up in the shower with you, make sure he understands its a drill not time to play. Water in the mouth would be minimal, not to worry. Bien Viaje

I used to spend a lot of time in Mexico. When I wanted to lose ten pounds fast, I just drank some water.

The easiest , most convenient way to not have to concern yourself is to simply clean all water you use with bleach. I believe the formula is about 3 drops per liter and then let it sit around for awhile covered, although you may want to look up the exact recomened amounts. You must be careful to fill the bottles up to the very top with water so that the bleach cleans everything, including the ring of the bottleneck and the cap.

Bottled water is available all over Mexico, which is easier, but in case you get in a jam...And with a small child I would likely clean everything including their bath water, etc. I would also wash fruits, vegetables, everything in the water sanitized with bleach.

I just brushed my teeth once with tap water and lost ten pounds as usual.
