We're going to Cancun and would like to find a resort with lots of beach, any suggestions?

if you would send me your information to my email....tammyrussell01@yahoo.com.......... of travel....departure city...number of people traveling....ages......that kind of stuff........i will find you a resort that will suit your needs. if i understand correctly.....you want the beach with the bigger waves.....beautiful sand and turquoise water. Casa maya does not have a good beach for this....nice resort, but that side of the beach does not have waves ....... more like lake water. i have some ideas in mind, but i need to know what class hotel you are looking for and what iamenitiesyou prefer at the resort. i can find you the beach. just send me the info and i will check for you.

You definitely want to check into the Sun Palace. The beach there is amazing!!

I would strongly urge you to go to Riu Caribe in CancÃºn. It has the biggest beach measuring in at 300yds. The sand is very, very soft. It's perfect for volleyball and all kinds of activities. The water there is also very nice. There isn't any other resorts on either side of their beach so it's all to yourself. You can also rent a variety of water crafts ranging from sea-doos to kayaks. It's by far the best section of beach in CancÃºn. They also have a pizza stand that's right by the beach and tons of loungers and cabanas. I know you aren't big on the pool, but the pool is also one of the biggest measuring in at about 125 yds. with three bridges going over it. You will love it there.

If you're seeking a couples-only resort, try the Sun Palace. Great beach, but towards the end of the hotel zone, so sorta away from the "heart" of the city. (But that makes it quieter!)

I remenber a Hotel in Cancun named Casa Maya that has an excellent beach...but if you hate the pool and the hotel, I will recommend you going to Playa del Carmen, tha is more wild and with no so much infraestructure...or, even better, you can ho to Tulum, where you will find maya ruins mixed with the most spectacular beaches...

You can try Solymar, Yamalkan, Villas Marlin, Cancun Plaza, Girasol for the lower budget hotels. Then for the upper end, you have Tucancun, Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, ME, etc. They all have nice, white sand beaches, with lots of waves. I think just about all of the hotels in the hotel zone have great beaches.

* Royal Islander
* Royal Sands Resort and Spa

GREAT family friendly resorts with much to do, all of them are 5 Star and rated top hotels in Cancun.

The Villas to all of them are spacious and have over 1,500sq ft of space! Perfect for lots of guests or just two people.

If you are looking for cancun only hotels, then its very well known that both "El presidente" and "kin-ha" ( i think it changed name) have the best beach in Cancun. Its one of those kind of beaches where you can walk several meters into the ocean with the water still in your toes.
