King of CancĂșn
CancĂșn will be beautiful as always! The daytime temps will be around 90 degrees Fahrenheit and at night it won't get below 70 degrees. It's in a tropical climate so it's always the same weather. If it does rain it's never for more than 20 minutes and usually the sun is out. It's known as sun showers. I've been going there for ten years and I go a week usually each time and in those ten years I've never seen it rain more than once for the whole week each time I go. It's gorgeous in CancĂșn.
As far as tips go...
1. Be careful when you ride the bus (if you do). They are on a five minute schedule (meaning every five minutes there is a bus at the bus stop) so in order to keep this up they drive really crazy. When you get on pay your money and grab onto something because when the last person has paid they will take off and if you are in your seat or not.
2. I'm sure you've heard this, but it's true...Don't drink the water. Only drink the water that is bottled at the hotels/resorts.
3. Tipping goes a long way even if you have an all-inclusive package. A few dollars to the maids and bartenders will make your experience so much better. You will be the first they take care of when the bar is full at the hotel/resort. Usually when I get there I find one good bartender then have him serve me for the day then give him $20. The rest of the whole trip it's ...Sir this...Sir that...and he will be like here try this drink or try this shot...they will treat you like your best friend. Usually then after that I hook them up throughout the week. But, that's just me.
As for as things to do....depends on what you like and how much you like to party. CancĂșn is a party mecca, so if you don't like drinking and having fun you probably won't like it there. But here are some fun clubs to go to if you like clubs...they are CoCo Bongo's, The City, Senor Frogs. Those are a must if you visit CancĂșn.
Restaurants...The most famous ones are Lorenzillo's (delicious seafood...the best in the world and very romantic), Carlos n' Charlies, Pat O'Brians. Also there is Bubba Gump's famous from the Movie Forrest Gump of course...lol. But it's a cool place to go. Also Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.
Fun things to do are riding sea-doos and parasailing in the Caribbean.
If you like adventure and nature things check out Xel-ha and X-caret. They are ecological parks where you can see all kinds on beautiful animals and nature and swim with the dolphins.
There are tons of shopping malls. It's really fun to go to the little flea-markets that the locals have and get really cool Mexican hand-crafted items. They also have malls with designer items such as Louis Vetton, Gucci, Chanel, etc..
And last but not least......Just lay on the beautiful white powder sand and watch the beautiful turquoise waves roll in and sip on your favorite drink.
That's just some of the things. There is a lot more...You'll have a blast! CancĂșn is the best place in the world! Have Fun!!!

you can find some rain at cancun but nothing that you've to worry about it, usually it rains just a part of the day or a couple of minutes, there are a lot of activities that you can enjoy, when I go to Cancun usually i make reservations at www.dtraveller.com you can find a lot of tours and in they always have a lot of promotion that's one of the best prices I've found, maybe you can try there or at least you can have an idea where to go, don't you think?

the hurricane will not have much impact on the weather in cancun. it will be hot with chance of thunderstorm every day.......typical of tropical climates. you will have plenty of sun and fun..........so relax and enjoy.

Cancun will not get any of the intensity from Gustav. So it will be business as usual in Cancun next week. You can expect hot days and a thinderstorm in the afternoon lasting one or two hours.
