Im going to Cancun on 27th August 2007. I have been checking out the weather lately and i know its the so called rainy season but it seems there is a lot of rain at the moment. can someone tell me if it is likely to be sunny or will there be showers followed by sun or ? As long as it aint constant rain, im hoping to get away from Scotland to escape it!! |

They don't have rain like you have rain it may rain for a bit then stops! It's always hot there so don't worry!! Have a glass of tequila for me!! Try the prawns there so good and there huge!! Just don't drink the water or use any ice cubes unless you know where they came from !! Bottled water is the way to go!! |

I have been to Cancun 6 times, all but one time during this rainy, hurricane season. I try not to watch the weather forecast, because they really have no clue when it's going to rain in Cancun. They've been wrong every time I've gone. Yes, it does rain most days, but only for 10 minutes. If there is a tropical disturbance, it will rain heavily for a day or two. This only happened to me once. If there is no tropical disturbance, once it rains for 10 minutes, the sun will come out and it will be very humid and everything will dry quickly. Don't worry, you will have fun, and the weather will more than likely be beautiful. If it does rain for a few days, there are some awesome malls in Cancun! Enjoy! |

Yes it is the rainy season and when it rains it is like a monsoon. It is also hurricane season. It doesn't rain all day but it downpours for a long time and roads etc get flooded. I was there from June to November and got caught up in a hurricane and lots of rain. |

Write a few t's on the end of any location signs you see whilst there with a marker pen.
Go on - it would be a laugh. No one will notice you doing it out in the heavy rain. |

We went last summer and when we looked at the forecast for our week, it called for rain every day. I didn't see a drop of rain while we were there.
This is the rainy season, but in the tropical areas it usually just rains for an hour at most and then clears up. |
