As American (which I am not), I do not know what is wrong with Mexico. Mexicans are coming here just as the the American invaided Texas over 150 years ago. Now, as a Mexican (which I am), the problem is inside the country. The problem with "mi Mexico lindo y querido" is lack of oppourtunities for jobs and quality higher education. I know we have the UNAM and Tec. de Monterrey, but that is not enough for a country with 110 million Mexican (not including Mexican living in other countries); however, I see hope with the new President Felipe Calderon. Not everyone thinks Mexico is dirty place. There are thousands of people immigrating to Mexico from real third world countries in Central and South America. It is like comparing a brand new Hyundai (Mexico) with a brand new BMW (USA).

I think that the immigration issues going now in the US are creating resentment not only to mexicans but to all latins as well. I was in a taxi in Boston a few months ago and i heard a radio announcer talk about how all latins should be expelled of the US. The taxi driver, not knowing i was latin, told me he agreed with the radio announcer. I hope that americans remember that once they were immigrants and there is no "american" race and that they depend on latins for their economy. Even though i dont have any interest on going to the US to work, i do support latins that go there to find a better life.

NOTHING IF YOU DONT LIKE MEXICO THAN I DONT LIKE U

nobody is attacking thier ways, its they're coming in illegally and were paying the bills, why do you think medical is going up and up and up, hospitals have to cover the cost for them not paying for it. if they come in legally and pay thier own way thats fine with me.

I think that people just talk about what they want to hear, if a politician tells them that medicare is going up due to illegal immigrants they believe it, when in reality (I know this for a fact) it is due to several other things including wages, technology, and doctors themselves. it bothers me that whenever people complain about illegals they always bring the medical thing up, I mean it is not like we are visiting the doctor evry week, most Americans only go to the doctor once or twice during the year for major things(that is when the price is over $2000) so why complain, if illegals were causing Taxes to go up (which they are not because they pay them, because in order to get certain things many illegals have gotten Tax IDs) I would understand.
Lastly, I was reading this study from a University and it said that if hispanic immigrants were all kicked out or denied work the housing/ construction industry would have a shortage of employees, that all the farmers in the southwest (California) would not have enough people to produce enough crops for the whole country, and that the economy of the major US cities like Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Dallas, Houston, and even Atlanta would have a significant loss.
so if we dont want to pay 5 dollars for an apple we need to pressure for a comprehensive immigration reform, which besides the economic part is needed to unite all the races in this country. Ever since the immigration debate started last year there has been a division between Americans and Hispanics (mostly whites and Mexicans).
