Hola! Oh gosh, when you say THE BEST, the El Presidente and the Riu Palace are a close second to some of the BEST resorts in the world. The one and only Palmilla is the top, then the Esperanza, The Marquis and then Dreams, the Hilton etc. Then we start into some of the top 5 star resorts such as the Riu Palace the Riu Sante Fe, the Crowne Plaza, the Royal Solaris, the Melia CSL and the Melia Real. Then we are into the 4 plus resorts such as the more established El Presidente, the Pueblo Bonito, the Villa del Arco...etc.
If you want a resort that is close to everything, is clean, is not crowded with kids, is worth the price...then you are on the right track with the Riu Palace or the smaller, newer, quieter Riu Sante Fe next door. It will cover everything you mentioned in your question, hands down.
No matter what you pick, Cabo is a fantastic place and you will have a wonderful vacation, so just go and enjoy! |

We stayed at the Riu Palace and it was great, but the food wasn't very good. That's what I hear about most all of the resorts though. The beach is nice, the rooms are awesome, the staff is superb, the view is spectacular, and the rates are reasonable. |

We stayed at the Riu Palace for our honeymoon .. it was wonderful . When we go back we will for sure stay there . The rooms were nice and the staff was excellent .The shows they had every nite were incredible . The food was great and never a lack of it . The pools were awesome . We went to town quite a few times . It wasn't a far drive however the cabbies drive FAST ! We did meet alot of neat people at the resort who we still keep in contact with . and there wasn't alot of kids at all when we were there in July . Oh I hope this is what your looking for . PS Stay away from the PURPLE DRINKS !!!! |

Hello there,
The El Presidente or Crowne Plaza is very nice if you're looking for somewhere in San Jose del Cabo. It's about 30 miles from Cabo San Lucas and the taxi will cost you about $35.00 each way. Most of the hotels in San Jose del Cabo are on one main road. You would need to take a taxi into town.
Cabo:
The closest hotels to the downtown area will be Marina Fiesta or the Tesoro Los Cabos. Most of the other hotels will be about 30 minute walk or 10 minute taxi.
I would recommend..
Pueblo Bonito Rose or Blanco and Sunset Beach is my favorite.
If you're looking for all inclusive I would recommend RIU Palace. It's beautiful. The only thing I didn't like is the restaurants for dinner need to be made the night before and you have to wait in line. If you don't get there early the restaurant you might want might not be available. However I did find by the 3rd night, the buffet (no reservations) is different every night and was better than some of the restaurants. |

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort and Spa. I think is the best. It has every thing. It has 4 pools. The four freeform pools (two with infinity edges), spa tubs, swim-up bars/lunch spots, restaurants, and a spaIt. is so big that they have golf carts that take you to your room. It is very quiet. Relaxing. It is by the western side of the tip of Baja, overlooking the Pacific. Set away from the concentration of hotels along the Sea of Cortes, the resort's 50-acre site and expansive private beach provides guests with a uniquely tranquil and secluded setting. Secluded on the Pacific Ocean side of Baja California's tip, this beachfront resort is terraced into a landscaped hillside providing panoramic views of the ocean and picturesque shore. You will have a wonderful time at Cabo. Enjoy the vacation. |

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. The most beautiful resort that you'll ever stay at your entire life. The food is exquisite and the staff wait on you hand and foot. This would be the only hotel that I would definately recommend for Cabo. Enjoy!!!!
Also, if you want seclusion I would not stay at RIU Palace. |
