Hi, Im mexican born in Mexico City

If you want a great cultural- night life go to the Zona Rosa BUT NOT ALONE

You can go the historic center Zocalo and see many interesting spots and great restaurants between the streets.

Go to Polanco specially to Mazarik´s avenue, it has great restaurants and shopping centers, you can meet a lot of people there.

Chapultepec´s Castle, you will have and excellent view of the city (if pollution allows you)

If you are very patient go to National Museum of Antropology in Reforma in front of the Auditorio Nacional, its a huge museum, you will need three days to see it.

You can go to Coyoacán and visit Frida Kahlo´s museum and walk down Coyoacan´s center.

Many places more

Please avoid taking green taxis, use the metro only.

dont get out of the W,S,SW,of the city, there is some interesting stuff out of there (neza zone) but it is just way to dangerous for foreigners (and way too fun) the downtown and the chapultepec parks are good options, make sure that you visit the centro historico, you'll find about everithing in there (ranging from museums to mall's ) visit the MUNAL and the south of the city (san angel inn, coyoacan, etc) lots of house museums and surreal stuff, im pretty sure that there is something entertaining to do in the "colonia del valle" even though it is more of a residential area than of a touris place, make sure that you visit the torre latinoamericana and the world trade center (they have a spinning restaurant like the ones of seattle or houston use ths subway and you'll se some interesting stuff, great food alol around the city, it is a tuff city so you will se some sad stuff going on
