What are the chances of a hurricane hitting mexico the week of september 22nd?
we are going to cancun mexico the week of the 22nd! what is the possibility a hurricaine will hit? has anyone been there recently, if so what was the weather like?
It's VERY, VERY slim that a hurricane will hit Cancún. There has only been two hurricanes to ever hit Cancún directly. One was in 2005 and before that there hasn't been one to hit Cancún in almost 20 yrs. Don't let everyone scare you. You will be fine! There will be NO hurricanes near Cancún at that time. Most of the people that give you answers on here look it up or have never even seen Cancún. I've been here over ten years and know a thing or two about it. Trust me...the weather will be fine! Have fun!!!

It seems like a pretty active hurricane season so far. But, it's hard to predict. Probably not, but the latest hurricane Lloyd is coming up on the Pacific side of Mexico. Who knows?? Hard to tell, but chances are slim.

There is no way anyone can predict that right now...if there were, the National Hurricane Center would certainly put that info out and people would not have to wonder if they are in the path of a hurricane until it is very close...2 weeks ahead of time...no one can say. Right now, it is raining cats and dogs in Cancun and will be most of the week. Use weather site below to check Cancun forecast.

Well, that is the peak of the hurricane season, but they don't hit every year so you should be alright.
