Christmas and Easter are the times to stay away if thats what you are asking. Tons of Mexicans travel mostly to the beaches during those 2 periods. Prices go up, buses are full and so are the hyways.
Not many gringos on the beach during the Mexican school vacation because it's hot. Lot's of Mexican tho.
So I guess it matters where you are headed

christmas and new years are the biggest dates of travel to mexico..thats usually when everyone goes back to see thier relatives or to be there for thier towns fiestas. summer is also a big season for that as well, but not as big as christmas and new years time.

Similar to the US. Christmas, Summer school vacation, Easter are the peak seasons.

Off peak in Mexico is basically September 15-November 15. Spring break is February, March, and April. June and July months are when the rich Mexicans take their trips....as well as graduating seniors and people with children that are in school. Best rates are found in October...as it is hurricane season there....but weather is in general still beautiful. The first two weeks of June are also reasonable times to travel to Mexico. November 15 - January 31 is high season for sure. If you want good weather....like not too hot.....go the first of November. The water is most beautiful during this time and the rates are generally reasonable.

If you are going to Mexico, DF (the capital), Christmas is off-season. It's the time of year when the city is least congested as many big city dwellers go home to their smaller towns for the holidays. Hotels have good rates during Christmas in DF.
